Advert In Progress

In our team chat we decided that Eda will do the advert and I will focus on editing the album cover

Here is Eda's working progress

Photoshoot! I look PENG LOOL!

The photo shoot was a success, there were some glitches with the camera but Eda got some fantastic shots.

In the pitch the class really liked the idea of reflection which portrayed to the audience that the main character was analysing himself and whether he did something wrong in the relationship. They also liked our use of simple fonts that easy portray thoughts and feelings.

Team meeting

Myself and Eda decided we were going to shoot the photo's for our album cover and advert in the photography studio because we want it to be dark and mysterious. We are booked in there on Friday for 9:00am

Editing Done!

We have finished editing and will be screening it to the rest of the class to get their feedback so we hope they enjoy it.

Editing day 5

We have started colour correcting in order to portray a certain mood to the audience and give a sense of feeling of happiness and sadness within the video showing the audience when the main character and artist in question felt these emotions.

Tweaking!!

So after showing Vanessa what we had so far she suggested that we needed more performance and lip syncing shots in our video which went against my initial plan to keep things narrative and go against conventions of having a lot of lip syncing in the video. She claims that the point that we are trying to put across to the audience is already clear so we should use more performance shots.

We also had to tweak our cuts according to the tempo and beat pattern of the actual record which was quite tricky but we got there in the end.

Editing day 3

Unfortunately the slow motion effect we saw in Jhene Aiko's music video did not really work out for ours while trying some new effect so after experimenting I found a Bad TV effect that works really well to portray flashbacks

Editing Day 2

So we have just finished the rough draft of our video, now we have to put in some effects and tweaks here and there in the next lesson. Its looking great!
