Evaluation Q3
Below I will be analysing and evaluation the feedback we had from our audience and how it helped us produce our final product.
-Pitch Feedback
Initially the audience liked the idea of us following typical conventions of love and betrayal however they were concerned that the idea of suicide would be the top and that the artist shouldn't drown himself. This helped us think of how we should portray our film to the audience with out offending them. However we still went through with our initial idea of drowning but at the end out back to the artist in a trance of reflection to end the music video so as to make the video less depressing and sorrowful than it already is.
-Rough Cut screening of the incomplete video
After pitching our first drafts to the audience the made mention of a few things they thought needed changing. The first was the colour grading initially I and Eda decided that flashback scenes would be in brighter colour to portray good times, however the audience said that it was to saturated and bright.
Secondly they made mention taht there was too much use of the bad TV effect and that cuts needed to match beat tempo and lastly they wanted to see more performance shots of the main artist.
Myself and Eda took this into consideration and tone down the colour grading of flashback scenes took time to make sure cuts were in the right place used less bad TV effect and added in more performance shots as we believed the audience feedback was right and would help us improve on our final product.
